About Me!
Welcome to Central Valley Guided Beginnings. My name is Jocelyn-Svetlana Mitchell, MS, and I am deeply passionate about supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and the transition into parenthood. I believe every family deserves compassionate, personalized care during one of the most transformative seasons of life.
With a Master of Science (MS) in Human and Family Development and specialized education in maternal wellness, maternal-infant attachment, and early relational development, my work is rooted in both evidence-based care and heartfelt connection. I am especially passionate about the importance of nurturing maternal emotional well-being and fostering secure early attachment between parent and baby, knowing these early bonds help shape lifelong health, connection, and development.
As a birth and postpartum doula, I strive to create a calm, nurturing, and judgment-free space where families feel safe, heard, supported, and empowered. Whether you are preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, adjusting to life with a newborn, or simply needing reassurance along the way, I am honored to walk beside you with compassion and care.
Central Valley Guided Beginnings was created with the belief that support can profoundly shape a family’s experience during pregnancy and early parenthood. My goal is to provide gentle guidance, emotional support, and meaningful care that helps families feel connected, confident, and deeply nurtured as they begin this new chapter together.
I look forward to supporting you and your growing family through life’s most important beginnings!
